Frequently asked questions
Everything parents ask us before their first order.
A small 3D-printed board with real mechanical keyboard switches. Each switch gets a keycap with a printed design, and the whole thing clips to a keychain or lanyard. Satisfying clicks, no batteries.
Every kit is printed and assembled to order in Calgary. Current lead time is about 5 business days before it ships or is ready for pickup. Party orders of 12+ kits may take a few extra days — we'll tell you before you pay.
Clicky switches make an audible click (loudest, most satisfying). Tactile switches have a bump you can feel but are quieter. Linear switches are smooth and quiet — best for classrooms. You can hear samples in the builder.
Pick how many different designs you want, then choose them. Caps are split evenly — for example an 8-cap board with 2 designs gets 4 of each; with 3 designs you get 3, 3 and 2.
Keycaps and switches are small parts. Our clickers are not for children under 3 and recommended for ages 5+ with adult supervision. Read the full safety notice.
Yes — that's our favourite thing. Quantity discounts apply automatically in the builder, and pickup in Calgary is free. For 30+ kits or schools, email us for a quote.
You can attach up to 3 reference images to a kit in the builder. We'll review them and reach out if a custom keycap is possible for your order.
PLA filament, printed on our own printers. Colours are matte and may vary slightly from the preview on screen.
